Regarding an occupation in life, Tim and I have always told our children to find what you are passionate about, then find a way to make money doing it.

Hunter discovered a while back that he is good at math and loves to build things. He is currently a supervisor for the D.R. Horton homes, and doing a fabulous job! Tim and I are so proud of his success, and can’t wait to see what God has planned for him in the future.  He is still passionate about fishing and hunting, and gratefully he still makes time for both.

While we’re were in Ireland, Hunter had the opportunity to meet with Mr. D. R. Horton himself.

Holly is our beach girl.  She loves the water, traveling, and history.  Holly has found a way to combine her passions by ultimately earning a degree in Marine Archeology.  It’s exciting to see her, as a junior in college, enjoying her studies and enthusiasm about her future as she discovers the past underwater.
Cole is dedicated to golfing and fishing.  He purchased (well, dad did) a john boat and he has been updating it and making it his own.  Seeing him trailer his boat behind his Jeep puts a smile on my face, as I think about how independent all our children are. Cole took up golf a couple of years ago.  You don’t have to remind him (and he doesn’t like it when you do, LOL) to go practice and play a round. This sport will serve him well into his future.
While on our trip to Ireland, Holly and Cole had the opportunity to enjoy the hobbies they are passionate about. (We sure missed Hunter!!!)
The British Open was taking place while we were “over the pond”.  Since we were so close to Scotland, how could the boys pass up the opportunity to attend this historic event.  Tim and Cole woke early on a Friday morning, drove to the airport in Cork to fly to The Open in Scotland, then return late late that same evening. #BucketList.  The weather may not have been ideal, but it sure didn’t stop the smiles on their faces.

Trump’s course

Then, they were asked to play with friends on the Trump International Doonberg course. Wow! The rolling hills and the ocean beside the course was not a bad view to have while playing golf. #BlessedBeyond
One more diddy on Cole…he did get some fishing in at the Dromoland Castle.  No fish, but a beautiful site.

Holly had been chomping at the bit to go surfing in Ireland.  You’d think she’s a professional if you look at all the fabulous places she’s been able to surf.  It wasn’t looking promising, until…the day before we left we traveled to a beach town called Lahinch.  Woohoo, our surfer girl can now say she has surfed in Ireland. She road the waves, which actually reminded us on the east coast of Florida waves, for two hours.  To say that Holly was happy is an understatement. She was totally stoked! The town was quaint and cute. If you’re ever in Lehinch, we had a tasty lunch at Tasty Station, a family owned restaurant.
In Proverbs 16:3 we are told to Commit your actions to the LORD, and your plans will succeed.  Brothers and Sisters, you may achieve success in areas of your life, but to be truly successful I urge you to hand over YOUR plans for HIS plans.
One of my all time favorite bible verses is Delight yourself in the LORD and He will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4.  We all have desires/passions.  The cool thing is, when we strive to know more, grow closer to, and love God…HE becomes our desire.  I want what He wants. Do you?

I hope that you will be passionate in life.  Live each day to its fullest. Give God your life and plans and hopes and dreams, and He will turn them into something beautiful.
Are you enjoying these Ireland photos?  I have more to come. Thanks for sticking with me as I share God’s love through everyday life.
Blessings to you and yours,
Stephanie

It was a bit breezy and the fog was getting closer, but we were her biggest fans. 🙂

See the landscape behind Holly. The mist rolled in shortly after this photo.

Holly was so excited!
