The Lord’s unfailing love and mercy still continue, fresh as the morning, as sure as the sunrises. Lamentations 3:22-23
Tim and I are out in northern New Mexico being quite spoiled by the sweet folks here at The Timbers at Chama (http://thetimbersatchama.com/).

…Plug here…gourmet meals are provided, the scenery is impeccable, the beds are comfy (and I got in trouble for making my bed…they want you to be pampered here for sure), the hospitality is top notch, snacks are provided throughout the lodge (or whichever accommodation you choose), the weather is a nice welcome for this Florida girl, and the owners (Bill and Rhonda Glisson) are fine Christian people.

Around 6:30 in the morning, I peek out my east facing window to see if the sunrise is peeking over the mountain. Not yet.  I wait about five minutes, step out onto our porch to get a glimpse. Still, nothing. I couldn’t contain myself, I slipped into my slippers, grabbed my jacket and headed out to wait patiently for the sun to say “Good morning” over the mountain top.
I was like a kid in a candy store, filled with anticipation to taste the sweetness.  One may think I was shaking due to the low temperature, but my thought is that I was so excited to watch the sun make its entrance, I was all giddy inside.

I will stand on The Solid Rock, Christ.

My feet were standing on a rock. My eyes would embrace the panoramic view of the valley and the beautiful landscape beyond. You could see the sunlight reflecting on the mountains in the distance. Slowly the sky was changing colors and the salmon colored kissed mountains were becoming more visible.
My knees would shake with excitement. Y’all, you’d think I’d never seen a sunrise before, but I was so filled with joy to see the sun.
Finally, the brightness of the sun peered over the mountain, and I felt so much peace and happiness. The sweetness of morning sunrise. God gave me a new day.
THAT is how we should be each morning as we start our day in prayer and quiet time with God.  Giddy to see what The Son will present to us each day.
I want to encourage you to stand on The Solid Rock, Christ, each day so that you will have a firm foundation as to how you act and react to situations throughout your day.
I pray the you will be refreshed each morning with much hope, joy, and expectancy as God reveals new and inspiring things to you each day. Ask for it. Believe He will show up. Be ready to have our eyes opened and heart enlightened.  God will bless you.
Wake each day blessed that God isn’t finished with you yet.  You are here for a purpose. Live for Christ!

From the rising of the sun to its setting, the name of the LORD is to be praised! Psalm 113:3

The Rock, His work is perfect, for all His ways are justice.  A God of faithfulness and without iniquity, just and upright is He. Deuteronomy 32:4

The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. Psalm 18:2

Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him.  Psalm 34:8

But I have raised you up for this very purpose, that I might show you My power and that My name might be proclaimed in all the earth. Exodus 9:16

Blessings to you and yours,
Stephanie
