When I captured this photo of my great niece and my dog, Layla, I thought about facing your giants.
Here you see the delicate profile of a precious child, unafraid, facing a massive animal almost nose to nose. Luckily for Haddy, Layla adores her.  But you may not be so adored by a giant that is gawking in your direction or maybe even solidly positioned in front of you.
I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.  Psalm 16:8 NLT
As I’m typing this journal entry Francesca Battistelli’s song, Giants Fall, is playing in the background.  God’s timing is perfect! (In sooo many ways right now than just this photo and song.). Here’s the lyrics to the chorus:
Don’t you be afraid
Of giants in your way
With God you know that anything’s possible
So step into the fight
He’s right there by your side
The stones inside your hand might be too small
But watch the giants fall
I want to encourage you to listen to her song, read the Bible verses I’ve included in this entry, pray to the God who is Lord over all and will never leave you, and believe that with God nothing is impossible.  Stand firm. You will make it through your situation.

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”  Joshua 1:9
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 Corinthians 12:9-10
Don’t worry—I am with you. Don’t be afraid—I am your God.  I will make you strong and help you. I will support you with my right hand that brings victory. Isaiah 41:10
And my bible verse from THIS morning:  God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.  James 1:12
Blessings to you and yours,
Stephanie

Also, take time to read Goliath Must Fall by Louie Giglio.  You’ll be encouraged and just may see the story of David and Goliath in a new way.
Here are just a couple of past entries to share (there are so many on being strong and courageous:
