“The Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.” Exodus 14:14 NLT

We all have “stuff” that we are going or will go through.  That’s the key word…through.
I want to share some statements and bible verses with you that came from the Jennifer Rothschild bible study, Psalm 23: The Shepherd with me, week 4.  This week we focused on verse 4, “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.”  We deciphered each section of the verse and it was soooo good and comforting.  Ha! Imagine that…God’s word being comforting.   I was able to share various insights and bible verses with some folks who are going THROUGH a valley.  That’s what we need to do when we read, hear, and understand God’s breath…share it with others. Here we go:

  • Valleys are conduits.  They have an entrance and an exit.  Valleys have a beginning. Valleys have an end.  They are passages that take you from where you are to where you are going.

  • That is why we never give up. Our physical body is becoming older and weaker, but our spirit inside us is made new every day. We have small troubles for a while now, but these troubles are helping us gain an eternal glory. That eternal glory is much greater than our troubles. So we think about what we cannot see, not what we see. What we see lasts only a short time, and what we cannot see will last forever. 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 ERV
  • God can use our temporary valleys to create everlasting good for and in us.
  • Fear focuses on the shadows.  Faith focuses on the Shepherd.
  • Nothing you fear is more powerful than your God.

  • When we comfort others, it is as if God uses us to help turn the weak and broken pieces of someone’s life into a fortress of God’s strength once again.

Y’all, let me remind you that your valley is temporary.  You may think the ruggedness and darkness is unending, but focus on the Shepherd.

Y’all, let me remind you that your valley is temporary.  You may think the ruggedness and darkness is unending, but focus on the Shepherd.
I pray that your eyes will be opened to His glory as you go through this season in your life.  It may be for a moment, days, or even years, but hang on…hold onto God’s hand as you go through it all.
Were you encouraged by Jennifer’s statements like I was?  There’s so many insightful aspects to this study. I want to encourage you (men and women) to go purchase this study and enjoy digging deep…real deep…into the living word of our heavenly Daddy.
God will fight the battle for you. And you? You keep your mouths shut!”  MSG

I love and appreciate you.  Stay faithful to God and Him alone.
Blessings to you and yours,
Stephanie
