Picture this:
A child, about fourteen months of age, was running on the refreshing morning sand towards the water, and his momma was walking right beside him. The child sees his daddy swimming in the sea, and is eager to get to him. Then, a barrier of seashells appears in his path. These shells are rough under his tender feet. The child stops, holds his right hand up, and looks at his parent. Momma lifts her precious child into her arms and carries him across the barrier of shells. Once on the other side, momma gently puts the child back down, the toddler’s feet touch the cool sand again, gets to the edge of the water, and waves to His daddy.
Are you thinking what I was thinking when I witnessed this precious sight?
- Your Heavenly Father (The Ultimate Parent) will carry you.
- Paths can get bumpy in life, and God can and will lift you up.
- God holds your right hand and cradles you to safety.
- All you have to do is look up. Look to God to help you down the paths of life.
- Focus on your Heavenly Daddy. Wave to Him. Just be aware of your surroundings. There’s glory in the end.
Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand. Isaiah 41:10
Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. Proverbs 3:5-6
But you, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high. Psalm 3:3
Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthews 19:26
I pray that you will look up! Look up to God, reach for Him. Seek Him daily. He is there to comfort and guide you.
Well, after typing those words, Look up, how can I not post Lauren Daigle’s song? Love it!

(I didn’t get to capture the moment with a photo, but the precious photo above works perfectly. This is my sweet nephew, niece, and great niece. Thanks, Summer, for allowing me to use this. And…even when boulders get in your way, God will still carry you.)
