It is good for people to be kind and generous and to be fair in business. Psalm 112:5
When I first read my morning scripture, numerous testimonies came to my mind of businessmen who have told me about how they rejected a business deal that wasn’t honest and godly, only to be blessed beyond what they could imagine by God because of their integrity.  I LOVE stories like this!
I often say, “God’s got something better for you” when someone I know has a business deal gone wrong in their eyes. In my last journal entry, “Not my appointment, but God…”, I mentioned a conversation with my friend, Jimmy.  In this same exchange he told me about a business deal that went awry, only to be blessed by a larger account.  His son noticed how Jimmy reacted and handled the situation, and it made a huge impact in his life.
I want to encourage you to evaluate your work week, or even in your daily life.  Have you been a person of integrity? How did or do you react when things go awry?  How do others see Christ in you in your responses to situations? Remember…eyes, young and old, are watching you.  I pray that you will strive to live for Christ, and like Colossians 3:23 says, Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men.
Here are a few more bible verses for encouragement:

He who walks in integrity walks securely, but he who perverts his ways will be found out. Proverbs 10:9

Better is the poor who walks in his integrity than he who is [a]crooked though he be rich. Proverbs 28:6

Do what is right and fair. The Lord loves that more than sacrifices. Proverbs 21:3

In the same way, tell the young men to be wise. 7 You should be an example for them in every way by the good things you do. When you teach, be honest and serious. 8 And your teaching should be clearly right so that you cannot be criticized. Then anyone who is against you will be ashamed. There will not be anything bad they can say about us. Titus 2:6-8

Go be a student, worker, spouse, friend, child, etc. of integrity.
Blessings to you and yours,
Stephanie

(The above photo of my daughter Holly has nothing to do with the journal entry. LOL.  I just think she’s beautiful. Go, Holly, be a person of integrity.)
