Happy Motivational Monday:
I’m picturing this man, Bartimaeus, blind, begging, and almost exhausted from his life and for calling out to Jesus above the crowds, feeling so low in life physically, mentally, and spiritually. People around him putting him down and telling him his voice doesn’t matter. But God…
But Jesus hears and calls the blind beggar over. Bart doesn’t just crawl haphazardly to Jesus, no way, he jumped up and went to Jesus. While speaking with Jesus, Bart called him “Son of David” and “Rabbi”. He knew who Jesus was and what He could do. He had faith, although he couldn’t see. Jesus approached Bartimaeus, and in typical God-form, asked him what he wanted. Bart’s voice did matter. He spoke, asked, and thi made it more of an awareness not only to Bart, but to those around him.
Jesus knows. He hears. He heals. He is The Messiah. People do have names, they are worthy of Jesus, and Bartimaeus’ voice did matter. His faith healed him, and He followed Christ. Take note…you and I aren’t so different from Bart. You matter. God cares. Follow Him.
Blessings to you and yours,
Stephanie
