I will never forget your commands, because through them you gave me new life. Psalm 119:93
Don’t misunderstand me…
While I was typing the previous journal entry, So Much Talk, I was confident in the message, yet something kept saying “I hope I don’t get misunderstood.” But, as I would type, I would pray, until I hit the button that read PUBLISH.
This morning I woke up and again could hear that repetitive phrase, “I hope I don’t get misunderstood.” I don’t want people to think we shouldn’t talk about Christ, yet we must remember that we each have a gift, and we should use that gift the way God desires for us to use it for His glory.
While some have that gift to gab, others need to speak loudly by the way they act. Ahhh…but there it is…live…live for Christ…be the light…be the salt…don’t be hypocritical…and when you live for Christ, you can’t help but want to share Him, listen to things that fill your mind with holiness, chat with others who are like mindedness, feel the joy that He completes you with, study His word, be around others who love Jesus, and on and on.
When I was lying in bed feeling giddy about what the Holy Spirit whispered to me and confirmed the previous writing, I wanted to be able to clarify my words with the readers. So, I did my normal routine of clicking on my bible app and reading the verse for today. It was Psalm 119:93.
I will never forget thy precepts: for with them thou hast quickened me. KJV
I will never forget Your precepts, For by them You have revived me. NASB
I will never forget your precepts, for by them you have preserved my life. NIV
I will never forget your commandments, for by them you give me life. NLT
I will never forget the advice you gave me; You saved my life with those wise words. MSG
Oh friend, I wanted to share this variety of translations with you so that you can see what the Lord does for you once you get into His word, desire Him, and believe in Jesus Christ: He quickens, revives, preserves, and gives you a new life. He saves you!
When you desire Him, your perspective changes.
After the daily bible verse, I went to my email to read one of the devotionals I receive each day. Pastor Greg Laurie’s devotional appears bright and early in the morning, so it is the first one I see. Today, it was as if the Holy Spirit was confirming my thoughts, yet expounding it better than my words. He ends the quick devo by saying, “If you want to be a genuine disciple of Jesus Christ, you need to live it. And you need to proclaim it.” Please Click here to read the devotional in its entirety.
Y’all, I want to shout it from the mountain tops how GREAT IS MY GOD! I desire for you to know Him. If I’m the farmer who lays out the seed…great. If I’m the farmer who brings you to harvest…fabulous. Whatever role each of us play, do it all for the glory of God. Share Jesus with others with grace and love.
Understand?
Blessings to you and yours,
Stephanie
…sing for joy! Sing from the top of your mountain. Give glory to the Lord. Praise him, all you people in faraway lands! The Lord will go out like a strong soldier. Like a man going into battle, he will be full of excitement. He will shout with a loud cry, and he will defeat his enemies.
