But he said to them, “My Father never stops working, and so I work too.” John 5:17
Do you ever do a task that no one will probably ever notice? I’m sure you do. Clean the junk drawer or the baseboards, change the empty toilet paper (that people in my home have evidently no clue how to do…for goodness sake), or change those air filters.
And when you are retired, people often ask the question, “What did/do you do all day?” Seriously? I do things that most folks won’t even recognize, but they sure would appreciate me doing those unknown/unnoticed things if I were to just let them go.
Recently I was cleaning the little drain hose and filter in my washing machine. You’re supposed to do it more often than I do it. But, my machine has been happy with me doing the job every six weeks or so. While doing this task that helps with smells and the operation of the machine, that washes EVERYONE’s clothes, towels, and bedding…I thought about how many things God and His angels are doing for us, behind the scenes, that we have no clue about.
Clearly, you are a God who works behind the scenes, God of Israel, Savior God. Isaiah 45:15 MSG
I began thanking Him for all those little and big things in life that He does to protect and guide me in the right direction each day that I am totally unaware of.
Thinking about how the angels are fighting battles all around me that I am clueless about.
Y’all, God is always working…24/7…365 days.
We often thank Him for those saving grace and forgiving moments we are attune to, but let’s take time to give Him our appreciation for those behind the scene occurrences.
Remember too…God is always working in and through you. Let God be God and do His thing in your life. Surrender to Him and know that His ways are best.
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever. 1 Chronicles 16:34 NLT
Blessings to you and yours,
Stephanie
