Awesome and Wonderful
I will give thanks to You, because I am awesomely and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well. Psalm 139:14 NASB
Tim and I were recently walking our country road on a foggy morning. There were dozens of spider webs, about the size of one’s hand, glistening in the grass along the roadside. The damp intricacies were amazing.
According to an article on the www, research showed that spider webs actually strengthen after they are slightly damaged. Experiment results demonstrated that too much damage did eventually weaken the webs, but not before they withstood hurricane force winds and multiple breaks…Spider silk is stronger than steel and tougher than Kevlar pound-for-pound, but the overall web that garden spiders weave is even stronger than its silk proteins.
When I read this description the design of the spider web amazed me even more, and how could one not think of how we could relate to their strength.
When you are a Christian, and you go through difficulties in life, you lean on The Creator and find a greater strength in and through Him. God has a way of using those “damaged” areas in our lives for His good when we put our trust in Him.
In the series of journal entries titled “who am I”, this is part 7. You are AWESOME and WONDERFUL!
God made you. Everything He makes is good, yet in Genesis 1:31, The Creator saw man and said it was VERY good!
As marvelous and breathtaking the design of the spider web is to observe, YOU are even more wonderful and amazing!
I thank you, God, for making me so mysteriously complex! Everything you do is marvelously breathtaking. It simply amazes me to think about it! How thoroughly you know me, Lord! Psalm 139:14 TPT
Blessings to you and yours,
Stephanie
