When my husband went on a trip six time zones away, I noticed that when it was around the time that he were to be calling me, I had my phone on or near me at all times, prepared to answer when Tim called. I didn’t want to miss a call.

One afternoon, while I was vacuuming, my phone was turned up to the highest volume, and in my pocket so that I could not only hear it, but feel the vibration of the ring. I didn’t want to miss the call.

At that moment, I thought about my illustration and relating it to Jesus’ calling on my life and His Second Coming.

Just like I had my phone close by, sound up, and vibration on high, while I was waiting on my man…THIS is how we should be while we are waiting on The Man.

What if we were to keep His word near us at all times? What if we were to carry and read the Bible daily so that we could hear God’s calling on our lives?

You don’t want to miss the calling He has planned for you. Keep His word close to your heart. Be prepared for Jesus’ Second Coming by turning up the scriptures and feel God’s word working in and through you.

Your words came to me, and I ate them up. They made me very happy. I was glad to be called by your name, Lord God All-Powerful. Jeremiah 15:16

I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you. Psalm 119:11

You don’t want to miss the call.

Blessings to you and yours,

Stephanie
