Struggling with sin? I’m pretty confident to say that the answer to this question is “Yes”.
Remember that although there is a war raging within your mind, which is the power of sin, there is a greater power that can dominate…the power of the Holy Spirit. When you become a Christian, that part of The Trinity resides in you. Listen. Follow. Believe. Trust.
I pray you will grow in understanding:
The saying, “The higher the hair, the closer to God” fits well with this set of scripture. Go a little further and say, “”The closer to God, the more aware we are of our sin.”
I love this photo of my momma. She’s so beautiful. I used to go to the beauty parlor often to raise the hair. Whether it was a beehive or curls hair piece, the hair was definitely closer to heaven. My momma is a precious example of a woman of God.
Takeaways from today:
- Be aware of your sin.
- “The devil made me do it.” Let the Holy Spirit overpower those thoughts.
- Why be miserable in sin. The answer is Jesus Christ.
- Evaluate your relationship with Christ.
- Existing sin, from your old self, made a home in your flesh.
- If you know what you’re doing is wrong and doesn’t put a smile on God’s face, then don’t do it. Do the right thing
- Let God define you, not the sin in your life.
Blessings to you and yours,
