What do your social media postings say about you?
Recently, I stalked…I mean did research, on some ladies, by viewing their Facebook accounts. They were models in a fashion show that I got to emcee, so I wanted to get to know their personalities and say a little diddy about each lady. There were models who I have known for quite some time, and some whom I had never met before.
When I presented my intel/insight to each model before sharing with hundreds of attendees, I believe some were impressed, humbled, and even honored by my discoveries. At first, a couple of them were like, “Oh no. What did you find?” Too much of their surprise, I found ladies who were encouragers of all things local, and of one’s physical and mental health. Findings of personalities full of fun and determination. And each lady shared their love for family and their faith.
All this gathering of information, had me wondering, “What does one’s social media say about them?”
Do people see that you:
- are a Christian or a complainer?
- are an advocate or an agitator?
- are delightful or disagreeable?
- are a motivator or a meddler?
Think about it. Whether you have social media or not, when others see YOU, who do they see?
I pray that we will each take a good look in the mirrors of our hearts and souls, ask God to make anything known to us that we need to do better on, and strive to be more like Christ. Be genuine in your faith, and may your heart be flooded with the light of Jesus. Amen.
Examine yourselves to see if your faith is genuine. Test yourselves. Surely you know that Jesus Christ is among you; if not, you have failed the test of genuine faith. 2 Corinthians 13:5
I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance. Ephesians 1:18
Blessings to you and yours,
Stephanie
