What an honor it was to sit down with the “Queen of Strawberries”, Ms. Helen Parke. She is such an inspiration and a joy. Ms. Helen’s (almost) 98 years of living has been a blessing. She reminds us that there will be bumps in the road, but everything will be okay when it’s over. Ms. Parke tells us the secret to a long marriage and a long life.
I pray that you will be inspired by her grace and love for faith, family, and the festival. She will have your smiling, and that’s what she wants you to do…SMILE.
And…like the Jimmy Buffett song says, “there’s a little bit of fruitcake in all of us”. (Stay to the end to understand what I mean.) May you stay grounded in the root of life…Jesus Christ.
