Silence.
A time to tear apart and a time to sew together; A time to be silent and a time to speak. Ecclesiastes 3:7
It’s been a month since my last posting. I’ve been silent for many reasons.
In life, we notice that there are times for reflection, times for adventure, times for busyness, times for being still, and, yes, times for being silent. The mind may race with thoughts, questions, and even overthinking takes place. For the past month, my silence incorporated all the aforementioned into a melting pot of being silent.
Even fools are thought wise when they keep silent; with their mouths shut, they seem intelligent. Proverbs 17:28
Meeting new friends and getting to know old friends more intimately. Staying home and traveling abroad. No matter who I’m with or where I am, God is always with me. He challenges me to see everyday life experiences through His eyes. He teaches me patience, strength, love, and how to be still. I’ve learned about other cultures and religions, read about how God has moved in the lives of many, counted my blessings, and prayed diligently.
“Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.” Psalm 46:10
I want to encourage you to be silent. Be still in Him. Reflect on your life and where you want to be. Talk to God about your dreams and concerns and lay it all at His feet. Be silent and watch God be God. Get ready. He has great plans and a purpose for you.
The Lord will fight for you, while you keep silent.” Exodus 14:14
Blessings to you and yours,
Stephanie
