Perspective.
Imagine yourself holding a snowglobe. Now, shake that snowglobe as gently or fierce as you desire. Then, observe how all the white “snowy” particles fall into place.
My husband often relates my world as me living in a snowglobe. Why? Because he says things just seem to work out and I’m happy in life.
Why am I filled with joy almost all the time? Why is my outlook positive? How can I approach each day with a song in my heart, even when life seems to crumble? Simple…the perspective of Jesus and hope in my heart. Some may be questioning “simple”? Okay, life isn’t always so effortless. Life gets messy. Situations occur that are completely questionable and way out of control. Life. Is. Not. Perfect. Period. Now, that’s something we can all simply agree on. But I do know the Perfect One and have faith that He will receive all the glory in the end.
Great blessings belong to those who are tempted and remain faithful! After they have proved their faith, God will give them the reward of eternal life. God promised this to all people who love him. James 1:12
A dear friend once described me as “the happiest non-dope-smoking friend he knows”. I can’t help but laugh every time I think about that description. Our daughter says that I am annoyingly happy. Let me tell you, when my life is shaken, ever so gently as a lamb or as fierce as a lion, sure I get mad, sad, question things, and want to be all dramatic. I told my kids the other day that when you see me upset or angry, let me be. I will quickly get over it because I am confident in The One who is in control, but please give me a drama moment to let whatever life throws at me shake me. It doesn’t take long for my perspective and hope to be restored to knowing that somehow through it all, God will get the glory.
Yes, you will suffer for a short time. But after that, God will make everything right. He will make you strong. He will support you and keep you from falling. He is the God who gives all grace. He chose you to share in his glory in Christ. That glory will continue forever. 1 Peter 5:10
We must not get tired of doing good. We will receive our harvest of eternal life at the right time. We must not give up. Galatians 6:9
And we are also happy with the troubles we have. Why are we happy with troubles? Because we know that these troubles make us more patient. Romans 5:3
Even if I walk through a valley as dark as the grave, I will not be afraid of any danger, because you are with me. Your rod and staff comfort me. Psalm 23:4
So where does my joy come from? My joy comes from the Lord and knowing that He will work all things together for good for those who love Him. He is with me always, through good and hard times. To God be all the glory!
Yes, you will suffer for a short time. But after that, God will make everything right. He will make you strong. He will support you and keep you from falling. He is the God who gives all grace. He chose you to share in his glory in Christ. That glory will continue forever. Romans 8:28
People often joke about wanting to climb into my snowglobe world. You can’t jump in mine, but you can sure make your own. No matter how shaken life gets, when you keep your eyes on the perspective of Christ and know that in the end God will receive the glory, everything will fall into place.
Blessings to you and yours,
Stephanie
