The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship. Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make him known. They speak without a sound or word; their voice is never heard. Yet their message has gone throughout the earth, and their words to all the world. God has made a home in the heavens for the sun. Psalm 19:1-4 NLT
When I read these verses, and reread them over and over again. As I sit at my desk, before the sunrises, I am in awe as I sit imagining the massiveness and beauty of the sky. My curiosity of what the sky was proclaiming got the best of me, so I stepped outside and looked up.
The first view of the sky was an immensely grayish blue in color. Glancing toward the pines east of me, hoping to see the colors change due to the sun soon to rise, I wondered if it was an overcast day. Nope, just too early. Stepping out a little further away from the structure of my home, I pivoted south and saw the waning gibbous moon brightly shining. It was not an overcast day. The moon was dazzling the sky and a few cirrus clouds danced beneath it. A smile came across my face and my heart and mind was filled with delight.
Although nature around me was awakening with the sweet sounds of morning greetings, the proclamation of God’s glory from the sky was deafening to my soul. Yes, even from a practically mono-tone colored sky. He speaks!
May I encourage you to go, look up to heaven, take a deep breath, and allow the sky to display His craftsmanship to you. I pray it will speak loudly the glory of God to you.
Blessings to you and yours,
Stephanie
