I must have been hanging something on the wall and just placed the hammer down and walked away. Later that evening, I looked at the hammer on top of the old family bible and had to laugh. The thought came across my mind, “There are some folks who I’d love to hammer The Word into.” A photo was taken, not knowing when this little diddy would come in handy for a journal entry. Well…today was the day.

When I read the scripture for today, the “hammer on the bible” photo was my mental image, yet on the contradictory way than originally thought.

Brothers and sisters, someone in your group might do something wrong. You who are following the Spirit should go to the one who is sinning. Help make that person right again, and do it in a gentle way. But be careful, because you might be tempted to sin too. Help each other with your troubles. When you do this, you are obeying the law of Christ. Galatians 6:1-2

Read that again.  We are to help make others right again in a GENTLE way…not with a hammer in the hand.

A gentle reminder to forgive, help others, be careful, be kind, and obey God.

That’s it. Simple post.

Blessings to you and yours,

Stephanie
