This photo is framed and on my bedside table. It was taken back in 2017. Heights and hairstyles have changed, but the joy of having my kiddos with me sure hasn’t. (I think we need to do a retake of this pic.)

Ever since my children were little, when we were separated and I was trying to get their attention or alert them of my location, I made a distinct whistle. Their little heads would turn and eye contact was made. Often that whistle would have them running in my direction and they’d remain by my side. I find myself still doing that same whistle today to alert my man or adult kids where I am.

When I read  Zechariah 10:8, it reminded me of me whistling to my children.  “When I whistle to them, they will come running, for I have redeemed them.”

Friend, Jesus has redeemed you. He died for you, rose again, and is coming back to take His children home to heaven one day. He’s whistling for you. Do you hear Him? Go running to Christ and stay close to Him.

Do you have a special sound or signal you use(d) to capture your loved ones’ attention?

Blessings to you and yours,

Stephanie
