Has it really been two months since my last journal entry? Time flies!

It’s often said to make the most of your time while you have it—and let me tell you, I did. June and July have been full in the very best way: busy days, sweet celebrations, a few hard moments, and reminders that God is always actively working in our lives.

Here’s a quick recap of how I spent my time:

  • Caught a tarpon
  • Celebrated our daughter’s 28th birthday at the beach with friends
  • Scored my best round of golf
  • Went to Georgia to help and spend quality time with my brother and sister-in-love
  • Went about 30 miles offshore (twice) with my man and loaded up the cooler with fish
  • Golfed with girl friends, my man, and family on the island
  • Deeply mourned the loss of a friend
  • Hosted my siblings at the beach
  • Found out Tim and I are going to be grandparents! (More on that later!)
  • Celebrated life with our Edward Jones family
  • Laughed until I cried (or about wet my pants) while fishing with a girl friend off the dock
  • Celebrated America’s 250th birthday at the beach with family—though we couldn’t tell anyone about us becoming NiNi and Cappy
  • Moved Tim from his office of 30 years to a new location
  • Published a new beach devotional book (available on Amazon)
  • I got to speak to the ladies group at church.

And life’s happenings and celebrations didn’t stop there. I also finished reading Job and Ecclesiastes, and I’m halfway through Ezekiel. Somewhere between the joyful moments and the heavy ones, I can honestly say I’m falling more in love with my Lord with every step of the way, and taking notes and asking questions.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 says, “For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven.”

God is always at work—no matter what season we’re in. Whether it’s a celebration or a sorrow, we’re called to love and serve our risen Savior. Life changes constantly, but one thing never changes: Jesus Christ.

So whatever straight or curveball life throws your way—whether you hit a homerun or strike out—remember we’re called to live for Him and share His glory in every situation.

And for now, I’m just soaking in this season… grateful for the memories, thankful for the lessons, and trusting God one day at a time.

Blessings to you and yours,

Stephanie

It was Havana nights at our EJ Summer Regional meeting.

We fed lots of people with our fish this summer.

A labor of love. This 31 day devotional book is available on Amazon.
