STOP!
Stop trying to be someone you’re not.
Stop comparing yourself to others.
START!
Start allowing GOD to change the way you think about yourself.
Start learning, knowing, and believing that God’s will for you is perfect and best for you.
Don’t take it from me, read His breathed words for yourself:
So God created mankind in His own image, in the image of God He created them; male and female He created them. Genesis 1:27. God created you from the beginning. He created you to be like Him.
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. Psalms 139:13. Yep, He’s a knitter. While you’re all snug as a bug in your momma’s tummy, God was interlacing each part of you.
Yet you, Lord, are our Father. We are the clay, You are the potter; we are all the work of Your hand. Isaiah 64:8. Well, lookie there. God’s not only The Creator and a knitter, but a The Potter too. Oh, and so much more! He’s STILL molding you. Permit God continue to form you into the person He desires for you to be.
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11. Oh, friend, did you not only read those words but truly hear them. Reread. God KNOWS the plans that HE has for YOU. They are great! Unimaginable! Full of hope! He’s got this.
So, to wrap it all up…Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. Romans 12:2
The Message translation says, “Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out.” FIX YOUR FOCUS ON GOD.
