Let’s end this year, begin the New Year, and continue throughout the year on the right foot. Well, maybe not just a foot, but possibly on your knees, face down, or eyes wide open looking up. Prayer!
Here’s what Tim and I are going to do, and I hope you’ll follow suit:
What do you do with the Christmas cards that you received this past year? (I really would love to hear your ideas!) This is what we are going to do with ours…each day we draw two cards out of the card pile and pray for those two families throughout the day.
In 1Timothy 2:1 we read, “First of all, I ask that you pray for all people. Ask God to bless them and give them what they need. And give thanks.” Amen.
Job prayed for his friends in Job 42:10, and God blessed Job as well.
This morning we started off by closing our eyes and choosing the Coyle family and the Ford family from our bowl of blessings. They are magnetized to the refrigerator so we can be reminded to pray for them, not just in the morning, but throughout the day. These two precious families are going through changes in their lives with a new baby on the way for the Coyles, and the Ford’s eldest son is now away at college.
Don’t worry, if you didn’t send out cards this year, let us know and this Shuff family will pray for you too. Will you pray for us as well? Thanks!
Jesus said in Luke 18:1 that we “should always pray and never give up.” Amen, amen, and again I say amen.
I pray God’s abundant love and much joy for y’all.
What a great idea! I usually send 200+ cards out every year, did not send out a single card this year, but recieved many and will attempt to follow your wonderful example! Prayer is Powerful and needed by all of us! I’ve always loved sending and receiving Christmas cards or cards for any occasion!
I love reading all your post/ministry Stephanie!!! Blessings to each of you! Wishing you and your family a Happy New Year from our home to yours!!! Hugs!
I like that idea. God bless you Baby.
Thanks! You and uncle Sam are now on the prayer list. 😉 Happy New Year!
