“Great is his faithfulness;
his mercies begin afresh each morning.” Lamentations 3:23
Amen and amen. I read those words and I start singing the beautiful hymn, “Great is Thy Faithfulness”. (Don’t worry, I won’t sing it for you. You can listen Chris Rice sing it at, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lDg7pqe67Ns )
While I was sitting here in my front room, listening to the song on many videos, I gazed out the window and saw leaves falling from the trees. That scene put a smile on my face as I thought about how God’s love and mercy falls on us daily. It also reminded me how no matter what season it is; the Spring flowers blooming remind us of God’s faithfulness, the Summer breezes refresh us like His love, the stunning coloring of fall and then how they fall to the earth make me recall His great mercy falling on us, and in the winter how sitting by a fire on a cool night makes me feel the comfort of God’s arms around me daily warming my soul.
Seasons come and seasons go, but one thing we can count on being constant in our lives is God’s freshness each morning and His love that endures forever.
I pray you feel God’s mercies falling down on you each day.
Blessings to you.
