The back of this door has been a trial and error.  From the beginning, I knew I wanted this to be my prayer wall (door).  The first phase was metal so that I could magnetize things and write with a dry erase marker.  The marker proved to be a fail. Then, I hid the faint marker marks by “praying for:” post it styled notes.  Most would stick and a couple wouldn’t, and some would get caught on the wall when I’d slide the door open. My second attempt wasn’t a complete success either. Now…chalkboard.  I painted the metal with chalkboard paint, and now I’m ready, once again, to see change because of prayers.
My new PRAYER CHANGES THINGS chalkboard is ready to be filled with prayer requests.  Do you have one you’d like me to add to my prayer door?  I’d love to lay your requests at the feet of Jesus with you.
I LOVE looking back and seeing how God has answered the prayers that have been on my door.  There are some that are a continuous request, but it’s cool to see how little changes have been made in certain lives, and I take comfort in knowing that God is still at work.
There are a plethora of bible verses regarding prayer.  Here are just a few that I wrote the address down on the prayer door:
This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 1 John 5:14 NIV
But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, Matthew 5:44 NASB
Pray in the Spirit at all times. Pray with all kinds of prayers, and ask for everything you need. To do this you must always be ready. Never give up. Always pray for all of God’s people. Ephesians 6:18 ERV
Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise.  James 5:13 NIV
Be happy because of the hope you have. Be patient when you have troubles. Pray all the time.  Romans 12:12 ERV
Don’t worry about anything, but pray and ask God for everything you need, always giving thanks for what you have. Philippians 4:6 ERV
Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.  1 Chronicles 16:11 NIV
Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.  Jeremiah 29:12 NIV
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.  Mark 11:24 NIV
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.  Romans 8:26 NIV
I pray that you will seek his face always.  No request is too small or too big.  Jesus loves you and all that you carry around with you.  Stop carrying, and allow Christ to be your interceder.
Blessings to you and yours,
Stephanie
