These verses give a glimpse of what God does, His character, hope of the eternal life to come, and is worthy of our complete praise.
My soul, praise the Lord! Every part of me, praise his holy name! My soul, praise the Lord and never forget how kind he is! He forgives all our sins and heals all our sicknesses. He saves us from the grave, and he gives us love and compassion. He gives us plenty of good things. He makes us young again, like an eagle that grows new feathers. The Lord does what is fair. He brings justice to all who have been hurt by others. He taught his laws to Moses. He let Israel see the powerful things he can do. The Lord is kind and merciful. He is patient and full of love. He does not always criticize. He does not stay angry with us forever. We sinned against him, but he didn’t give us the punishment we deserved. His love for his followers is as high above us as heaven is above the earth. And he has taken our sins as far away from us as the east is from the west. The Lord is as kind to his followers as a father is to his children. He knows all about us. He knows we are made from dust. He knows our lives are short, that they are like grass. He knows we are like a little wildflower that grows so quickly, but when the hot wind blows, it dies. Soon, you cannot even see where the flower was. But the Lord has always loved his followers, and he will continue to love them forever and ever! He will be good to all their descendants, to those who are faithful to his agreement and who remember to obey his commands. The Lord set his throne up in heaven, and he rules over everything. Angels, praise the Lord! You angels are the powerful soldiers who obey his commands. You listen to him and obey his commands. Praise the Lord, all his armies. You are his servants, and you do what he wants. Everything the Lord has made should praise him throughout the world that he rules! My soul, praise the Lord! Psalm 103:1-22 ERV

When I read these verses I can’t help but think of Heaven. A place where there will be no sin, no death, complete healing, and…did you get that we will be “young again”? Glory!
I thank God for sending His one and only Son to die for our sins, so that we can trust in Him and have access to Him daily. His forgiveness is undeserving, yet He gives it to us anyhow. He so desires for us to have a relationship with Him. Consider yourself invited…He wants you.
When the verses say, “He will be good to all their descendants, to those who are faithful to his agreement and who remember to obey his commands” this doesn’t imply that as long as you are good, you’ll be in Heaven. Nor does it suggest that because your grandparents or parents or greats before them were Christians, you automatically have a pass to heaven. This verse 17 states that God’s love is here forever, through eternity, and will be taught/preached/shared until the end of time. Listen, my friend, come as you are to Christ. Let Him clean you up. Imagine if you’re already a “good person” how much better you’ll be with Christ, and give Him all the glory! His word is forever true, never-changing, and available to you. And if you are bad-to-the-bone…He will transform you tot he best version He wants you to be…you just need to agree with, live for, and desire Him.
OH!!! One more thing…His angels are fighting for you! I wonder how many instances in my life that His angles protected me from a serious, or more serious than some were, situation. We can’t see them, but they are there. Fighting. Fighting Satan’s fiery arrow for you.
I just had to share this wonderful chapter with you.
I pray that you will praise Him. Praise the Lord with ALL of your being. Through the good and the bad. Praise Him!
Blessings to you and yours,
Stephanie
