As I’m sitting here on our barn’s porch, overlooking the peaceful Florida woodlands and observing the sun reflect off the wetlands, and an owl hoots from the back of the property.  Maybe, just maybe, the melody of the owl is symbolism of the wisdom I heard today in the interview with my dad.
You see, today my daddy turned eighty-two years young.  (No, that’s not Santa in the photo above, LOL, well…he was my Santa for years.)  I’ve often wanted to capture detailed remembrances from my parents so that I can share them for generations to come, and there’s no better time than the present to seize the moment of memories.
Earlier today I enjoyed lunch with my dad and his sweet bride.  While we were waiting to pay the bill, I asked dad what he thinks the secret is to him feeling youthful.  You’ll be able to heart his response in the interview, but my step-mother said, and he agreed, how he always seems to turn any situation into something positive.
You will agree with this statement as you listen to dad’s desire to share goodness and God throughout our time together.
Oh, there has been tumultuous times in his life that he could have shared, but I’m grateful that the Holy Spirit spoke through him to be an encourager.
I’ve seen God work wonders in my dad’s life, and I’m appreciative of the man he has become.
Enjoy soaking up some wisdom and learn about my daddy as we celebrate his birthday.
Family…this one is for you.
Friends…remember to surround yourself with godly and like-minded people.
Now as the woodpecker drums a tune on the cypress as if to signal that I’m done, and the squirrels scurry from tree to tree, so must I scatter from typing so you can listen to the video recording.

Blessings to you and yours,
Stephanie
Dad’s favorite bible verse is John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
