Y’all!! I am so stoked about this interview with my new friend Jeff!!
My cousin, April, rode with me to Tampa to pick up some shelves that Chip at Barn Works had prepared for me. The excitement I had for retrieving these shelves to create an open shelving concept in my kitchen doesn’t even come close to the elation that comes over me just thinking about the divine intervention that God allowed me to participate in today.
Jeff was raised by a single mother, along with his six siblings. He mentioned to me how he was a functioning addict who was in and out of jail, probation, rehab, etc. The transformation which took place in Jeff’s life is a testimony he was eager to share.
Some highlight statements from the interview are:
- “Time. Space. Mercy.”
- “Clean and redeemed.”
- “Be careful who you hang around.”
- “I was tired of looking behind me, I wanted to look forward.”
- “Be careful who you hang out with.”
- “I told God that if you can’t stop me slow me down. We can start from there.”
- “…no only affected me but the people I love and all around me.”
- “I thought they were my friends, but I gained The Best Friend.”
When I asked Jeff if he had a favorite bible verse, he said, “They’re all so good! I’ll just say Proverbs. All of Proverbs.” He also mentioned how he listens to Spirit FM (90.5) and Joy FM (91.5) Filling his mind with God’s songs and words are part of what keeps Jeff motivated He loves him some Big Daddy Weave. (see video below)
I pray that this interview will encourage you to be bold in your walk. No matter what you struggle with or are addicted to, you too can get out of the pit.
Blessings to you and yours,
Stephanie
(Thank God for April being with me to be my videographer. Thank God for placing Jeff in my day so that he can shine bright for Jesus and share his love with others.)
Amazing. Inspirational to me. Thank you both.
I just love God moments. He puts us where we need to be at the right time.
