You pray to God and call him Father, but he will judge everyone the same way—by what they do. So while you are visiting here on earth, you should live with respect for God. You know that in the past the way you were living was useless. It was a way of life you learned from those who lived before you. But you were saved from that way of living. You were bought, but not with things that ruin like gold or silver. You were bought with the precious blood of Christ’s death. He was a pure and perfect sacrificial Lamb. Christ was chosen before the world was made, but he was shown to the world in these last times for you. You believe in God through Christ. God is the one who raised him from death and gave honor to him. So your faith and your hope are in God.  1 Peter 1:17-21 ERV
Live life to its fullest!
You’ve probably heard that a few times in life.  And I agree…live life to its fullest…yet…there’s so much more to that phrase.
I’ve been convicted lately about certain aspects of my life and how I live it.  Bible verses like my scripture this morning from 1 Peter has been one of many that have led the way for my conviction.  When I pray Psalm 139:23-24, “Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.  Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.”,  God always has a little whisper for me.  I ponder His words for a bit, pray about them, even do pretty well for a couple of days, and then sometimes slide back in my ways.  Ugh! Why am I so stubborn?
Yet, when I have listened and obeyed in the past, I discovered that when I live for God and follow His ways, life IS FULL!
Yes, lately I have been convicted.  Yes, I am determined to obey Him. It’s not always easy, but it is definitely best.
Here’s the deal, it you are a Christian, you agreed with God to let go of sin and self, and to live for Him.  He transformed you into a new life with Him. (2 Corinthians 5:17, Romans 12:2, 2 Corinthians 3:18, Galatians 2:20,…) So why do you (we) still want to hold on to some of those wrong doings?  Let them go! That way of living pleases Satan (the Father of Lies), is empty, and can only lead you to pain in the end.  Sure, there may be some instant gratification, but that satisfaction is only temporary. When we trust God and live for Him, our life is full.  Full of hope, peace, and love.
I pray that you will pray Psalm 139:23-24 and listen for God’s revelation about the things you need to change in your life.  Be convicted. Be obedient to Him. God sacrificed His Son for YOU. Honor God in all you do. It will be then that you discover that you are living life to its fullest because you are living for God.
Your life is a journey you must travel with a deep consciousness of God. It cost God plenty to get you out of that dead-end, empty-headed life you grew up in. He paid with Christ’s sacred blood, you know. He died like an unblemished, sacrificial lamb. And this was no afterthought. Even though it has only lately—at the end of the ages—become public knowledge, God always knew he was going to do this for you. It’s because of this sacrificed Messiah, whom God then raised from the dead and glorified, that you trust God, that you know you have a future in God.

Do you have an issue (or a few) in your life that you need to take to the cross, leave it, and start living the best life?  I encourage you to do it now. Don’t delay. If you need counseling, seek godly counsel. If you need prayer, email me at [email protected], I’d be glad to pray for you.  (Privacy is imperative.) You just need to promise me that you will believe in the prayer and be watchful as to how God will work in and through you.  He will!
You are not alone on this journey.
I’m convicted and convinced to live life to its fullest with God, how about you?
Blessings you to and yours,
Stephanie
