For quite a while now, I pass by this huge broken limb, resting on a vine hanging from the tree. There are weeds surrounding it, moss hanging from it, and the ground is so dry from hardly any rain in months. This visual reminds me of how we may feel at times.
Do you feel broken?
Do you feel like you are barely hanging on?
Do you feel surrounded by sin in the midst of your brokenness?
Are you having a dry spell in your life?
Hang on!
Hang on to Jesus.
Lean on Him. He so wants you to rest in His arms.
I pray that whatever you’re going through, or when you do go through such a season as described, that you will fall into the arms of Jesus and take comfort in knowing that He has you.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. Isaiah 43:2
Trust the Lord completely, and don’t depend on your own knowledge. With every step you take, think about what he wants, and he will help you go the right way. Proverbs 3:5-6
My brothers and sisters, you will have many kinds of trouble. But this gives you a reason to be very happy. You know that when your faith is tested, you learn to be patient in suffering. James 1:2-3
Come to me all of you who are tired from the heavy burden you have been forced to carry. I will give you rest. Accept my teaching. Learn from me. I am gentle and humble in spirit. And you will be able to get some rest. Yes, the teaching that I ask you to accept is easy. The load I give you to carry is light.” Matthew 11:28-30

I pray you have a “rest in Him” kinda day.
Much love to you and yours,
