Random thoughts while walking:
There was a little boy, looked to be about four years of age, standing on a boogie board.  There was barely any water beneath him.  He kept moving his legs as if he was trying to make it go.  This child was smiling and yet appeared determined.  He seemed content in staying where he was, yet anxiously awaiting to glide across the water. I smiled and thought…this seems like life sometimes.  We are standing in one place, trying to go, go, go, but not going anywhere…then the song “Hurry up and Wait” by Mercy Me began playing in my earpiece.  (You have to watch the video below.  Too funny!) Part of the lyrics says, “The faster you can slow this down to the rhythm of right now, the sooner you find your strength. So hurry up and wait.  Rest your weary head for a moment.”
Do you need to take a breath, rest your head, and slow your roll in life? During this season, we’ll actually the year of 2020 so far, I’m sure there’s a lot of “hurry up and waits” happening. I pray that whatever season you are going through now, you will be confident that God will see you through it all.  Stay with God.  There’s glory in the end.
I want to encourage you to breathe Christ in, rest in His love and assurance, slow down your mentality of having to get it all done now and embrace each moment.

I’m sure now I’ll see God’s goodness in the exuberant earth. Stay with God! Take heart. Don’t quit. I’ll say it again: Stay with God . Psalm 27:13 MSG

Blessings to you and yours,
Stephanie
