Well, I did it.  With tears gently streaming down my face, I read the final (new) chapter of My Emmaus: God is Faithful 24/7.
Mike’s final chapter had me smiling at the beginning. I smiled because I could sense a similarity in our style of writing.  He shared a story of an everyday observance in nature, saw the significance of it’s intriguing simplicity, and made it applicable to our daily living.  Although Mike’s words were much more eloquent than my own.
The nature parable he shared prepared us for an additional story that demonstrated the application of the parable.  Nature was still felt as it took place at the beach, yet this story was no parable.  This story was one of truth, conviction, a baffled boy, and a praying momma.
As I was ending the final chapter, tears were gently streaming down my face.  Was it because the story was beautiful, or that I can relate with the praying momma?  I believe it was both.
In the epilogue, Mike stated his purpose for writing this book, revisited some stories and emphasized their lesson learned, and encouraged us to examine our own hearts relationally to our Heavenly Father.  He also requested that “if this book has been a blessing to you please consider taking a picture of the cover and posting it on your social media, along with your strong endorsement.” So…here’s my strong endorsement of the book My Emmaus: God is Faithful 24/7.
This surely isn’t the first time I’ve shared my brother Mike’s book.  CLICK HERE to discover more insight on the book and the author.  A video interview is included in these entries.
