Y’all, God’s word IS alive and active.
The more you dive into God’s word, the more you’ll be able to apply silly, or not so silly, situations in life to his word.
When this gust of wind blew through our outdoor area, it made me think about what I’ve been reading in the book of Acts regarding the Holy Spirit.
Enjoy the video and I pray that it speaks to you:

I actually forget to share that last bible verse I was about to read in the video. Distracted by sharing with you and wanting to make sure you have a relationship with Jesus.  The Bible verse is below, Romans 8:9.
Here’s some little notes, a website, and scripture for you:
After this prayer, the meeting place shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. Then they preached the word of God with boldness.  Acts 4:31 NLT

I like to call the Holy Spirit my “God conscious’
“Holy Ghost is God’s active breath, blowing where He wishes, creating faith through water and Word.” (This phrase came from one of the following articles from gotquestions.org.  I thought this statement applied perfectly to my thought process of the gust of wind.

Titles of the articles I read this morning:

  • What is the role of the Holy Spirit in our lives today?
  • How can I be filled with the Holy Spirit?
  • What is the difference between the Holy Spirit and Holy Ghost?
  • Is the Holy Spirit God?
  • Who is the Holy Spirit?

Stephanie’s Trinity breakdown: God the Father (Creator of all)…The Son (Jesus, God in the form of man, sinless, came to as redemption for us…personal)…The Holy Spirit (once Jesus ascended to heaven, the Holy Spirit became His presence…like a God conscious…our helper). So here’s God…He is existing in three persons.  Listen, we are not God and are not to understand Him fully.   You may have a better explanation, but this is just what I was visualizing.
God poured out His love via the Holy Spirit:  And this hope will never disappoint us. We know this because God has poured out his love to fill our hearts through the Holy Spirit he gave us.  Romans 5:5 ERV
The Holy Spirit is God:  Then Peter said, “Ananias, why have you let Satan fill your heart? You lied to the Holy Spirit, and you kept some of the money for yourself. The property was yours to sell or not sell, as you wished. And after selling it, the money was also yours to give away. How could you do a thing like this? You weren’t lying to us but to God!”  Acts 5:3-4 NLT
The spirit knows all:  But God has shown us these things through the Spirit. The Spirit knows all things. The Spirit even knows the deep secrets of God. It is like this: No one knows the thoughts that another person has. Only the person’s spirit that lives inside knows those thoughts. It is the same with God. No one knows God’s thoughts except God’s Spirit. We received the Spirit that is from God, not the spirit of the world. We received God’s Spirit so that we can know all that God has given us.  1 Corinthians 2:10-12 ERV
The Spirit prays for us when we don’t know what to say:  Also, the Spirit helps us. We are very weak, but the Spirit helps us with our weakness. We don’t know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit himself speaks to God for us. He begs God for us, speaking to him with feelings too deep for words. God already knows our deepest thoughts. And he understands what the Spirit is saying, because the Spirit speaks for his people in the way that agrees with what God wants.  Romans 8:26-27 ERV

Is the Holy Spirit really in. You?:  But you are not ruled by your sinful selves. You are ruled by the Spirit, if that Spirit of God really lives in you. But whoever does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to Christ.  Romans 8:9 ERV

Blessings to you and yours,
Stephanie

The above photo has nothing to do with this entry, but aren’t they just an adorable couple?!!  Maybe…just like Cole has Emma’s back, God has your back.
