I love the Lord for hearing me, for listening to my prayers. Yes, He paid attention to me, so I will always call to Him whenever I need help. Psalm 116:1-2 ERV
I love the Lord for many reasons, and this verse specifies just four reasons: He hears me, He listens to my prayers, He pays attention to me, and He’s always there when I need help.
This morning I woke up, looked at the time, and it read 3:54. Before attempting to go back to sleep, I said a little prayer for my family’s protection and health, and others who I know are battling something in their lives. The longer I would lay and pray, the more awake I became. So, at 4:26 I decided to go ahead and fully rise and shine.
The Bible verse for the day was Psalm 116:1-2. It was as if God whispered “I hear you calling out to Me, my child, and I am listening to your prayers.” A smile came across my face, and peace filled my heart, as I said “Thank You, Jesus.”
In the NLT verse two reads “Because He bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath!” Just the vision of Christ leaning in closer to me assures me that He not only hears me praying, yet is truly attentive and listening with intent. This encourages me to want to chat with God more and more each day.
Do you need a reminder that God hears, is listening, pays attention to, and is there to help you? Take comfort, my friend, in knowing that the Lord is near and wants the best for you.
Blessings to you and yours,
Stephanie

Me and my man at Ousel Falls in Gallatin Gateway, MT.
As we heard the falls, we hiked closer and closer. We finally saw them then went down to enjoy the rushing cool water splatter onto us. It was so refreshing.
Getting closer to God is even more refreshing. Be near Him, as He is near to you.
