It can be! Trust God.

We can often “talk a good talk”.  But can we “walk the walk”?
Have you ever asked God for something, but when you receive an answer that you know is from Him, you say, “I don’t think so!” and do just the opposite?  Maybe it is not the answer you wanted to hear, or the response you received requires you to put for a little (or much) effort.  God never said life would be easy, but stick with Him and follow His ways and the “Life is Good” slogan will be affirmed in your life.
I’m sure I have done just this.  Actually, I’m positive I’ve done the “Jonah thing” and ran from God before.  When this happens, it is never a good thing to go against God. Never!
In Jeremiah 42:6 we read that this is exactly what happened.  When the people asked Jeremiah to talk to God for them they said, “Whether we like it or not, we will obey the Lord our God … For if we obey Him, everything will turn out well for us.” This is true. No matter what God’s reply is, you must put your big girl or big boy pants on and deal with it. “If” we obey Him, everything will turn out well for us in the end.  They may be a few bumps and bruises along the way, but in the end…all is well. “Life is Good”.
After Jeremiah had spoken to God and gotten word from Him, he told the people what God said exactly.  But when they heard the response they said in Jeremiah 43:2b and 4b “…..You lie! The Lord our God hasn’t forbidden us to go to Egypt!” “…all the people refused to obey the Lord’s command to stay in Judah.”  It appears that they didn’t want to “deal with it God’s way” and went ahead and kept their stubborn ways and did what they wanted to do.
I’ve been there done that, and it wasn’t’ a pretty thing.
I would like to encourage you to seek God, seek godly advice from others, and wait patiently for His reply.  When you get a response from God, do like the Nike slogan says and “Just do it!”
You will discover that life is not just good, but “Life is Great!”
Blessings to you.
