When I read Revelation 7:17 today, I couldn’t help but not think about the horrific tragedy the people of the state of Connecticut have suffered recently.
Why? Is a simple yet complex question that is on the minds of many.  We don’t know why, except it appears that the devil had gotten a hold of a young man to commit such a violent and appalling crime.  To take the life of your family, precious children, and then your own self?  That is a thought/question that we will never know the answer to.  I can’t imagine anyone having a dry eye when we heard of the devastation.
My heart aches and prayers are prayed for all the ones who lost their loved one.  The lives of the citizens of Newtown, Connecticut are forever changed.  May our own lives also be changed in the process.  May we strive to be more empathetic, compassionate, loving, and forgiving towards others and ourselves.  Tell those close to you that you love them.  Hold your children and others entrusted in your care and make sure they feel how much they are loved.  Cry.  Laugh.  Share. Love.
Revelation 7:17 says, ‘And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.’
I pray that everyone will feel God’s hand wiping their tears here on earth, and will find comfort in Him.
Blessings to you.
