Every day when I sit down to read God’s word I say “Lord, please open my eyes to Your word.  Please speak to me and through me.”
In Matthew 10:19 and 20 it says, “But when they arrest you, do not worry about what to say or how to say it. At that time you will be given what to say, 20 for it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.”   Now I haven’t been arrested, but I have been persecuted. (That’s a whole other lesson I’m sure I written about at some point.) But what spoke to me today was not the first part of verse 19, but the rest of it and verse 20.
I don’t feel stressed about what I’m going to write each day, because I know that He will provide the words for me.  If a scenario or some type of real life situation doesn’t popped into my mind while reading, God often provides something throughout my day to relate to the verses He breathed.
There have been days when I feel as if I can’t hear Him or feel God pushing me in one direction or the other, but I have faith that that is probably when He is working on me in a more intimate fashion.  I’m confident that He is working on and in me during those quiet times too.
I so pray that the words He has me journal are a blessing to you.  It’s not me anyhow, it’s Him using me and speaking through me.
Thank you for joining me as I journey through God’s word.
Blessings to you.
Prayer:  “Lord, I pray that you will continue to speak to me and through me.  I hope that others will grow closer to you through the words You give to me. I want to know more about You. I’m excited that I get to spend time in your word and get to know you better.  Amen.”
