give thanksJust thinking…The holiday of Thanksgiving is now concluded, but the season of thanksgiving should be never-ending.
I searched the word “thanks” on biblegateway.com and in the New International Version it appeared 100 times. 100 references (at least) for thanksgiving! And it didn’t just appear in one book of the bible, but from the old to the new; beginning in Leviticus and ending in Revelation.
We are to give thanks:

  • In every occasion (the good, bad, and ugly)…it’s God’s will for us to do so.
  • And let it overflow for God’s glory.
  • Because we’ve been delivered through Jesus Christ.
  • For our needs being met.
  • To the Lord because He loves us unconditionally.
  • For others and your relationship with others.
  • Everything we say and do.

Even though we often focus on giving thanks and showing appreciation outwardly for only one month of the year, this is a practice that we should continue throughout the entire year.
Just imagine if we showed our gratitude towards others and Christ more often how much more pleasant we would be and our surroundings.
On that note: THANK YOU! Thank you for being a reader of soakinguptheson.com. You keep me accountable and encourage me with your words that you send me. You motivate me to stay in the word and to bring the truth.
I pray many blessings and much JOY for you! Have a wonderful day. – Stephanie
