Have you ever been out in the heat and felt like you were just wasting away? I’m a Florida girl, and I’ve sure felt like my body was depleting a time or two while soaking up or working in the hot sun. What happens when you don’t replenish yourself with lots of H2O? For me, my head pounds, I get dizzy, my body wants to sigh and be lethargic, and I feel like passing out. That is exactly what unconfessed sin does to you also. Sin can eat you alive! Really.
Well, what refreshes and replaces my body while wasting away in the sun? A tall glass of water, or two, or three will do the trick. I can focus and enjoy my day more when I nourish my body with what heals it. Ditto to sin. If we will confess all our sin to God and stop trying to hide it from Him (as if He didn’t know it anyhow, Haha), we will be healed and suddenly feel the pressure of sin dissolve from us.
That sounds refreshing.
Drink up God’s goodness. Confess you sin.
Psalms 32:3-5
When I refused to confess my sin,
my body wasted away,
and I groaned all day long.
Day and night your hand of discipline was heavy on me.
My strength evaporated like water in the summer heat.
Finally, I confessed all my sins to you
and stopped trying to hide my guilt.
I said to myself, “I will confess my rebellion to the LORD.”
And you forgave me! All my guilt is gone.

Eduarda,
I appreciate you commenting on my blog. I so encourage you to “look into” His Word more. :0)
If I helped to whet your appetite to want to know more about God, yeah! Please do.
Here are some words from Psalm 119 I’d like to leave you with:
Psalm 119:7
The Message (MSG)
“You’re blessed when you stay on course, walking steadily on the road revealed by GOD.
You’re blessed when you follow his directions,
doing your best to find him.
That’s right—you don’t go off on your own;
you walk straight along the road he set.
You, GOD, prescribed the right way to live;
now you expect us to live it.
Oh, that my steps might be steady,
keeping to the course you set;
Then I’d never have any regrets
in comparing my life with your counsel.
I thank you for speaking straight from your heart;
I learn the pattern of your righteous ways.
I’m going to do what you tell me to do;
don’t ever walk off and leave me.”
Have a blessed day.
