I have been about to bust all afternoon with wanting to share some exciting news!
God’s timing is perfect!  Here I finally sit, in the late afternoon, ready to read my scripture verses for today’s “Walk in the Word”.  I wanted to share the good news earlier, but it was as if God was telling me to wait until I read His word today.
Well, I just read 2 Corinthians 10:12-18 and it fits perfectly.  In these verses it talks about boasting. Verse 17 says,

  • But, “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.”

It reiterates what the Lord said in Jeremiah 9:24.

  • But those who wish to boast
    should boast in this alone:
that they truly know me and understand that I am the Lord
    who demonstrates unfailing love
and who brings justice and righteousness to the earth,
and that I delight in these things.
    I, the Lord, have spoken!

So, here I am ready to “boast in the Lord”!…
Today my church showed the video “My Hope America with Billy Graham”.  This video is part of a nationwide outreach program.  Me oh my was the spirit working in and all around me as I watched this video.  And I do believe that I was not alone in the “God’s working in me” business.
At the end of the presentation, I felt a tugging on my heart to ask a special friend if she had ever asked Jesus into her heart.  My father-in-law pondered the same thing and asked me about her.  As I moved over her way, passing two of my family members, I simply asked if she had ever asked Jesus into her heart.  I could tell by the way she shook her head and took a gulp that her true answer didn’t match the up-and-down motion of her head. I said a little prayer, and noticed that she began to cry.  As I put my arms around her, I asked her again, but with different wording.  This time, she simply cried and said that she wanted to know more.
We chatted quietly in the church pew.  As the service came to an end, our conversation wasn’t at its end.  We moved to a more private location and talked about “not religion, but a relationship” with the Lord.
My heart was bubbling over with joy as my special friend prayed and asked Jesus into her heart.  Now, she is not just my special friend, but Samantha is now a part of my family as my sister-in-Christ!  Praise Jesus!
Boasting?  You bet!  Boasting in the Lord at His glorious work in my life and the lives of others.
I want to encourage you to seek out the Reverend Billy Graham’s My Hope America videos.  I tried to upload for you now, but the media content was available at this time.  Share it with others who may be floundering in their walk with Christ or have no idea who He is.
Happy Spiritual Birthday, Samantha!  I love you!
Blessings and God’s abundant love to y’all.
