Most people know the Bible verse Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” But keep on reading the following verse:
“You will call to Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.” Jeremiah 29:12.
God does that. He keeps things simple for us. Just pray. Seek His plans for you.
Oh, it may not be in the time frame you planned, but remember…”For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD. Isaiah 55:8.
Recently a sweet friend of mine’s daughter moved thousands of miles away to pursue the plans God had for her. For years her daughter had other plans. These plans were her desires, and she always wanted to bring glory to God in whatever she did. Then, while visiting a friend, she felt God moving her in another direction. When she acted upon it in faith, God revealed to her an even better plan for her life along the way. She is ecstatic beyond words!
This precious child of God continued calling, coming, and praying to her Heavenly Father, and He listened. Even more, SHE listened to His plans and not her own.
Can I share with you one more verse just passed that one? Oh good…in Jeremiah 29:13 the Lord says, “If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.” There you go; God has some amazing plans for you….pray to Him…search for Him and His plans with ALL your heart…you WILL find Him and all that He so graciously has for you!
