Spring Break had me on a “journaling break”. We ate our way through the panhandle of Florida. Cool weather and windy conditions didn’t stop us from having a fun and memorable time. I’ll post a road trip entry for y’all. Maybe you’ll take a little road trip through there yourself and make great memories too.
Well…all is quiet on the homefront this afternoon, so I decided to take my bible, my readers (LOL! A must!), and a mug of sweet tea to the pond. My original plan was to dig deeper in God’s word and journal about what I had learned while preparing the “Marching with a Purpose” entry. (I still am, but…) Yet, when I sat in the Adirondack chair, observed the stillness of the water, soaked in the splendid colors of green and blue that God had masterpieced for me, my thoughts went straight to the scripture He gave to me this morning:
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Psalm 23:1-3
(The KJV seems appropriate for these verses. That’s how I memorized them as a child.)
God did lead me beside the still waters this afternoon. He does refresh my soul! When I seek His will for my life, and I pray to DAILY, He will guide me down the right path for my life.
I want to encourage you to rest in Him, allow the Lord to refresh you, and seek His will for your life. He will show you. Be willing and ready.
Blessings to you and yours,
Stephanie
