Have you ever carved you and your sweetheart’s initials into a tree or written it in the sand? What about worn their name or initial as a charm on a necklace? Well, Valentine’s Day is approaching and some people love it and some loathe it. I was just telling my daughter the other day how we need to make it about sharing God’s Love with others and reminding folks that God loves them. Sure, it can be a romantic day with your sweetie, but why not make it about The One who truly lives in your heart. Today’s verse comes from Proverbs 3:3-4, “Don’t lose your grip on Love and Loyalty. Tie them around your neck; carve their initials on your heart. Earn a reputation for living well in God’s eyes and the eyes of the people.” You won’t find anyone any more loving and loyal. If you have accepted Jesus into your heart, make sure you’ve carved His name there and hold on tight to His love. He won’t let go. If you haven’t accepted Him, why not?
