We are so blessed to live in “the land of the free”, here in America. Sure, we could sit here and debate about the many freedoms that are being taken for granted, or how it seems that certain freedoms are becoming more constraint, but I would appreciate it if we could just take a deep breath, put on our God goggles, and be grateful for the many blessings and freedoms we truly have.
This past Sunday, Tim and I enjoyed one of the many freedoms we have in the USA…the freedom to attend church. We worshiped our Heavenly Father in an open door, come as you are, Spirit filled church. We don’t have to attend the service in secret, or walk through any door unashamed of our God. No siree, we walked right in, sang praises to the Lord, was challenged by the message, and Tim even displayed his Soaking up The Son shirt.
I am so grateful for the men and women who serve for our continued freedom.
I am so grateful that we live in a country where I can freely worship the Lord our God.
I am so grateful that I can even type these words to you, without being fearful for my life.
I am so beyond grateful that God sent His Son so that we can experience complete freedom.
Today, we will celebrate our nation’s freedom by visiting friends, boating, eating an abundance of food, observing a colorful display in the sky, and resting our heads on our pillows at night without fear. I’m sure we will have on our red, white, and blue, and proudly wave our American flag from the heights of the boat. Freedom.
Let’s put aside our political differences and agree today that we are blessed.
I pray that you have complete freedom in life.
Be safe. Be wise. Be kind. Be free…free indeed.
My brother and sister, God chose you to be free. But don’t use your freedom as an excuse to do what pleases your sinful selves. Instead, serve each other with love. Galatians 5:13
The Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 2 Corinthians 3:17
And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. John 8:32
So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. John 8:36
Blessings to you all,
Stephanie
GOD BLESS AMERICA!
(Haha. In the original photo, the church steeple is in the background, and my head is in the front. But…I sure do like the man in the center.)
