This pic has nothing to do with prayer, but isn't he adorable?.! Cole is a precious prayer warrior though.

Prayer is powerful!
In this morning’s scripture reading, prayer was a dominate topic. I read a prayer Jesus prayed in John 17, the end of David’s prayers in Psalms 72, and in Proverbs 15:29 we read, “The LORD is far away from the wicked, but he always hears the prayers of those who do what is right.” Prayer, prayer, and more prayer.
How precious and comforting it is to know that Jesus prayed for you and me before He descended from this earth and still continues today. He says to His Heavenly Father in John 17:20, I pray also for those who will believe in me”. Did you see that? He was praying for you and me! “Thank You, Jesus, for having my back. I’ll see you face to face one day. To God be the glory!”
David ends his prayers in Psalms 72:18-19 by saying, “Praise the LORD God, the God of Israel!
Only He can do such amazing things.  Praise His glorious name forever!  Let His glory fill the whole world. Amen and Amen!
” Amen and Amen! Yes! May God’s glory (His magnificence, splendor, brilliance, beauty,..) be made known.
I was just speaking with a dear friend last night, whom we both served on our pastor search committee together, about the powerful prayer sessions we all twelve would have together on a weekly basis while we were going through the search process.  I so treasure our times together. We would weekly get on our knees or flat on our faces and each pray out loud.  We saw God move! He moved in our lives, in the lives of our future (at that time) pastor and his family, and in our church members and ministers lives.
There is something about getting real and telling it all to God. Your hopes, heartaches, desires, etc., He wants to hear them all.
I could go on and on about prayer. Ugh! Just as I’m typing this, at this very moment, I am having a pray and pray hard about my attitude and one of my lovely teenage children’s attitude.  We just had a conversation and it amazes me how ungrateful kids (okay, we all at times) can be.  I’m praying and humming the song, “Count your blessings name them one by one,…” Breathe. Breathe. Okay, I feel better now.
I hope you know that I am praying for you right now too. Blessings to you!
