“Absence makes the heart grow fonder.”  This quote was first penned in the 1600s, and still holds true today.
Tim and I have been on a trip of a lifetime to New Zealand, without the kids. (This is definitely a trip to put on your bucket list.) There’s not a day, I should say hour, that goes by that I don’t think about and/or pray for my children.
It will be a total of ten days without them, and with very little communication. Texting rarely works, emails are only read by the grandparents, they don’t have or check Facebook (which I am able to communicate through), etc.  I was able to speak with them on the phone once.  Ugh!  This momma misses holding and communicating with her three children!
They have been longing for a dog.  Every time I see one, I think, “Oh, the kids would love this dog.”
Hunter loves to hunt (Of course!  With a family name like “Hunter” how can you not have that sport as a hobby? Lol).  There are deer farms all over the island.  He would go crazy seeing all the deer in one location.  And the fly-fishing….wow!  Oh, and how I can see Hunter driving one of these speed boats we got to go on.
Holly loves to surf, travel, and boys.  Well, this place certainly has all to her liking.  (“Holly, I found my future son-in-law here.”)
Cole would be ready to pack up and start his future tackle shop here on “this” island. Adventures are abound!
I bet God is the same with us.  When we are away from Him, He yearns for us to be with Him again.  Communication…oh how He loves it with us!  Sometimes “our” lines are down and the communication between us and our Heavenly Father are random.
Luke 18:1 says, “Then Jesus taught the followers that they should always pray and never lose hope.” Get that?  ALWAYS.  God’s lines-of-communication is always open.
I LOVE my children and I can’t wait to wrap my arms around them.  I’m quite sure that our Heavenly Daddy wants to wrap His arms around us as well. (Oooo, I can feel Him now giving me a big God hug.)

Hunter, Holly, and Cole…no matter how old or far apart geographically we may be, let’s always keep our lines-of-communication open and feel each other’s love.
I pray God’s abundant love and blessing for y’all.

Kids, I'd bring Millie home with me if I could.
