Happy Motivational Monday, y’all!
For today’s motivation, I NEED YOU to motivate ME.
I misquoted the phrase in the video, but now I remember…“Delayed obedience is disobedience.”  Yep, I’ve been delaying a task for many many months, actually years.  When I read books, scripture, hear others encourage me to complete this specific task, and other various ways of confirming that this needs to get done, I just continue to put it off, or get started and then have those squirrel moments, and/or be my worst enemy and think “I’m not worthy”.
During the recent in-depth bible study I did by Jennifer Rothschild, I discovered that one of my strengths is also one of my greatest weaknesses…confidence. God reminds me that my confidence comes from Him and to Him be ALL the glory, yet self-doubt has it way of creeping into my psyche.
Can I count on you to pray for me, maybe even send me a word of encouragement, to just keep going until God’s task is done?  Pray that I will focus on completing God’s work and word that He began in me, self-discipline to not get distracted by my surroundings, and for confidence to know that it is God and not me doing this.  I know there will be peace in the end of it all. The struggle within will cease, and completion will be harmonious.

All discipline for the moment seems not to be joyful, but sorrowful; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness. Hebrews 12:11 NASB
You know that in a race all the runners run, but only one runner gets the prize. So run like that. Run to win! All who compete in the games use strict training. They do this so that they can win a prize—one that doesn’t last. But our prize is one that will last forever. So I run like someone who has a goal. I fight like a boxer who is hitting something, not just the air. It is my own body I fight to make it do what I want. I do this so that I won’t miss getting the prize myself after telling others about it. 1 Corinthians 9:24-27 ERV
I do want to motivate you to listen to God, allow Him to guide you, say “Yes” to Him, and get busy completing the task He has for you.
Blessings to you and yours,
Stephanie
