I was so thrilled to sit down with my friend, Greg Davis.  He and his entire family are the owners of the Pelican’s SnoBalls in Plant City. What is Pelicans? Well…besides the MOST delicious snoballs (not cones) , Greg informed me that this company was born in New Orleans over twenty years ago.  They serve over 112 mouthwatering flavors, mixed with ice shavings that melt in your mouth like cotton candy, and often you’ll have Hersheys ice-cream between the layers of perfectly shaved ice, AND… topped with silky SnoCream. Oh my!

Prior to the video, Greg and I sat and chatted about life, business, and how Christ is the greatest influence in his and his family’s daily life.  You could sense the gratefulness and joy in Greg’s voice as he spoke on those three topics. Greg and his wife, Billie Jo, are wonderful role models for their family.  They are deeply involved in their church (Plant City’s Church of God) where Greg has been the children’s pastor almost 25 years.  Faith and family are top priorities in their lives.
You’ll be able to tell from the music playing in the background of the video that Pelican’s in Plant City is a festive and friendly atmosphere.  They offer phone charging stations, free Wi-Fi, Christmas videos streaming on the television, Pelican’s merchandise, outdoor games for all to enjoy, and a wall with hearts painted all over it that is a most-take-a-photo moment.

Isn’t this the cutest wall?!!

I hope you will enjoy getting to know Greg and all about their family owned business.  After you watch the video, please go follow them on Instagram and Facebook. Go like:  Pelicanplantcity on Insta, and Pelican’s SnoBalls Plant City on FB.  You will then see a great stocking stuffer idea on their FB page. So don’t delay!

After the interview, Greg made the delicious concoction called Hot Chocolate.  It has a Coco stick, whipped cream, and Hersheys chocolate drizzle on top. Hello!!!! They had me at the first bite. And…yes…I ate the whole thing!  While I was enjoying my SnoBall a local business owner, Trent Lott with College Hunk Hauling Junk (another company I highly recommend) came over for his first SnoBall.  Today was the first day that Pelican’s Plant City offered a Banana Pudding flavor. Trent took one bite and his eyes lit up and commented “Now, that’s great!” Once he got to the middle of his cup, the banana ice cream that was tucked inside gave him another flavorful sensation. Two thumbs up from these two customers.
Greg also wants you to know that they have a flavor of the week that they choose every week and post it by the order window.  That particular flavor is only a dollar for a kiddie size.
This product is gluten-free and they offer sugar-free SnoBalls that taste delicious.
So what are you waiting for? Go follow Pelican’s Plant City on social media, stop by 610 S. Collins Street in Plant City (tell them Stephanie sent you…it won’t get you a thing though LOL!!!), and enjoy the family fun-filled atmosphere that the Davis family offers to all.  They truly do appreciate you!
Greg’s life-verse is John 14:6Jesus answered, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.  The only way to the Father is through me.” Amen!
Blessings to you and yours,
Stephanie Shuff
