This was my prayer after reading Psalm 27:1-6, “Lord, I delight in You! May I live in Your shelter forever. Thank You for Your protection and salvation. Keep me meditating on Your words daily, for I find strength and confidence in them. Lord, keep lifting my head towards You. I love You. Amen.”
These were my notes after reading Psalm 27:8, The Lord invites you to come and talk with Him. That’s prayer…talking to God. “Lord, I accept Your invitation. Thank You for always being there to chat. Make my heart always willing and ready to speak with you…daily, hourly, all day! Amen”

Random thoughts:
- This chapter builds my confidence in the Lord. That’s where my confidence comes from. It is definitely NOT on my own. I’ve tried that and…let’s just say I often would get a dose of humble pie shoved in me.
- The Lord IS perfect. I am captivated by His words of guidance, strength, mercy, joy, patience, and so much more!
- Though people may try to knock me down or want me to stumble, the Lord will be the lifter of my head. When I focus on living for Him, there’s no reason to look down.
- There are times when I don’t know what to say or do, but God…God will teach me, lead me in the right direction, and speak for me.
- Verse 14, “Wait patiently for the LORD. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the LORD.” Thank You, God, for offering bravery and courage. Help me to accept that offering and feel Your presence. I love You, Lord. Amen.”
