This morning, I decided to step away from my usual protein shake packed with blueberries, strawberries, and bananas. Today was all about enjoying a delightful French toast breakfast!
As I gathered everything, I was shocked to realize I was out of cinnamon—something I always keep stocked! Thankfully, I found some cinnamon sticks and grated one for that fresh, aromatic touch. The scent wafted through the kitchen, and it was nothing short of heavenly.
While I turned to share this wonderful moment with my daughter, a lesson presented itself. My knuckle brushed against the grater, and I winced in pain. I turned to Holly and remarked, “Just like when we take our eyes off Jesus, we can end up getting hurt.”
I encourage you to focus on Jesus; may your life exude a pleasing aroma to Him and protect you from harm. Yes, we will encounter bumps and bruises in life, but with our hearts set on the Lord, we can trust that everything will be alright in the end.
We have all these great people around us as examples. Their lives tell us what faith means. So we, too, should run the race that is before us and never quit. We should remove from our lives anything that would slow us down and the sin that so often makes us fall. 2 We must never stop looking to Jesus. He is the leader of our faith, and he is the one who makes our faith complete. He suffered death on a cross. But he accepted the shame of the cross as if it were nothing because of the joy he could see waiting for him. And now he is sitting at the right side of God’s throne. 3 Think about Jesus. He patiently endured the angry insults that sinful people were shouting at him. Think about him so that you won’t get discouraged and stop trying. Hebrews 12:1-3
Blessings to you and yours,
