Yesterday, my strong-in-the-Lord sister-in-love had her surgery. Here is the quick update on Jan:
The surgery went well.
The doctor:
  • Removed the two tumors that were causing pain.
  • Removed both ovaries and the appendix.
  • Cancer is in small and large intestines, lungs, pancreas, and liver.
Jan is feeling good, and all attitudes are positive and focused on God.
She will go home the end of the week. Healing for four weeks, then an aggressive new chemo treatment will begin.
Prayers continue.
We serve The Great Physician.
THANK YOU ALL for your texts, messages, comments, and especially continued prayers.
Thanks for joining me as we practice Praying Scripture Here are the final ones for this serious, 10-12 out of 12.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Proverbs 3:5

Dear Lord, I place my full trust in You. Help me to trust completely, with every part of my being. Why do I sometimes doubt or try to navigate decisions on my own? You know what is best for my life in every circumstance. You care deeply about all the details and decisions I face. Thank You for the guidance You provide, the wisdom I seek, and the contentment that envelops me. Amen.

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 2 Corinthians 12:9

Lord, in my weakness, I find strength in You. Like Paul, I may plead for You to remove the “thorn in my side,” but if You choose to use it to bring glory to Your name, I accept it. As long as You are with me, I will not fear. I pray that Your power will work in and through me. Help me to rely entirely on You. Use me to honor Your name, and may others witness Your strength through my weaknesses. Fill me, sweet Jesus, with Your love and power. Amen.

“The Lord is the source of wisdom; knowledge and understanding come from His mouth.” Proverbs 2:6

Lord, You are the source of wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. Thank You for Your God-breathed words, which enable me to pursue these qualities through Your scriptures. When I feel lost or lack understanding in a situation, help me to keep my focus and desire directed toward You so that I may seek Your wisdom. As I open the pages of the Bible, guide me toward the purpose You have for my life. I pray that I will always seek You first in all I do. Amen.

Blessings to you and yours,

Stephanie
